Do you ever just need an idea for something? Not necessarily to completely rip something off, but just and idea to get your mind going? Pinterest is that idea place. I have a love/hate relationship with Pinterest for sure. Ideas abound! But then I want EVERYTHING I see (either actually want it or want to do it, go there, make that, cook that...etc). When it comes to my daughter's birthdays (she has had 2 so far, and am about to execute party #3 this weekend) I can already see a difference in my efforts with Pinterest.
What I've actually found is that I'm quite crafty! So, I thought I'd create a blog highlighting some of my ideas and creations for my daughter's parties. I will probably include any other crafting that I do throughout the year (like the baby shower I'm hosting coming up in June). But it will be nice to have a blog that I'm really only dedicated to once a year! :)
In addition, left over party items will be available in my Etsy store. I have already sold some Sesame Street character bags that I created and were left over from her 2nd birthday party.
My main tools of crafting so far are mostly construction paper, scrapbooking paper, glue, and a big fat black sharpie. High tech, right? Some of my items/shapes/templates are hand drawn, other are templated from the Internet. I'll post references where I have them, and supplies/costs where I remember what they cost and where I got them.
Let the birthday crafts begin!!!!
